What I Made for NYE.

I don't get a lot of time to cook these days - something I aim to change in the new year. So I planned on experimenting with cooking for NYE  In the end, I think I spent a good deal of time just reading recipes and thinking about food.

After researching and looking around, I found myself mostly relying on Mark Bittman's How to Cook Everything as a great go-to for a wide range of appetizers.

Here is what I made:

Vodka Rosemary Lemonade Fizz (It has an awesome rosemary lemon simple syrup)
Ginger Cosmopolitan- made with ginger-infused vodka
Manhattan - a combination of recipes

Cheese Fondue
Pot Stickers
Ginger Scallion Dipping Sauce
Butter Bean and Roasted Garlic and Rosemary Dip (just made this one up)
Asparagus, Goat Cheese and Rosemary Frittata (made this one up - they are really easy to modify)

More exciting than anything I made was the food my guests brought like an Asian chicken dish I could not pronounce, raspberry wasabi mustard for dipping with kebabs, rice and chicken in a walnut paste and a beautiful brown sugary bundt cake.

All in all, a good way to start the new year!
